Whether he’s all alone or together with a band, on stage or on records Bror Gunnar Jansson unleashes his unique blend of southern gothic, blues, stoner, folk, psych, soul and more! He’s been touring and releasing records for well over ten years now and you have been able to hear his music in movies and tv series such as “The last days of American crime”, “Happy” and “Damnation”. He has performed a number of times in both Swedish and French national TV shows (such as “Album de la semaine” and “På Spåret”).

Bror Gunnar Jansson was introduced to the great worlds of music before he even was born, as he is the fourth generation of musicians in his bloodline. His father is a well renowned bass player who toured with jazz legends such as Chet Baker, Toots Thielemans, Dexter Gordon and Monica Zetterlund.
He released his first solo album in 2012 and since then released four more albums and three EPs (plus some special edition releases and guest appearances) and three albums with other bands.

The music of Bror Gunnar’s mind is eclectic, to say the least, and he moves - perhaps sometimes too impatiently - between genres and styles, although always with a unique Jansson-esque timbre and spirit . His performances are powerful and musically playful and the music and lineup can shift quite a lot between his different solo projects [länk]. But the keyword is always a deep rooted love and respect for the music and for the audience. BGJ likes to challenge his listeners and would never dare to underestimate them.

In 2025 and 2026 new releases and projects are awaiting and it is an eventful time for Bror Gunnar Jansson and his music!
